Attaching the boom at the waterline closes the gap between the boom and the hull, preventing oil escaping into the environment. Choose Willy 500 (500 kg) for smaller booms and calmer conditions, or Willy 800 (800 kg) for larger booms and exposed water. For large tidal ranges, run a rope between two magnets so the boom can ride up and down with the tide.
