While there are countless people involved in the making of our magnets, the core orginsation of Blumags is a lean and nimble team of engineers and business people with one goal: Delivering the world's best marine magnets. Combined, we have many decades of experience in subsea design and the marine market in general, and magnetic solutions in particular.

The World's Best Marine Magnets

Our powerful and corrosion-resistant magnets are developed in Norway by engineers, divers and ROV operators.

Strong and Lightweight

The patented Blumags technology enables a compact design and superior force-to-weight ratio, which is particularly valuable for magnets at 500 kg holding force and beyond.

Built to Last

The housings across the entire product range are made from stainless steel, the obvious choice (in our opinion) for wet applications. Our magnets are made to last.

Deep Magnetic Field

Made from powerful neodymium sandwich cores, our magnets outperform the more common pot magnets in terms of magnetic field depth, making their performance less affected by paint, rust, and marine growth.

Customizable for Your Needs

Our underwater magnets are designed with customisation in mind. On all models, the standard rigging point can be removed and replaced by any kind of tool of your own.

Smart Storage and Shipping

All our magnets are shipped in compact IP67-rated tool cases with in-built magnetic shielding, safe for air freight. We do not charge anything extra for this.

History

The history of Blumags begins in 2019 with the conception of a simple, yet ambitious plan: To develop the world's best marine magnets for divers and ROVs.

The company was established in 2020 with launch of the first generation of diving magnets Flipper and Willy, with Willy 800 being the world's strongest diving magnet with one-handed release mechanism. In 2023 we introduced the ROV magnet Moby 3200, the only ready-made magnet able to serve as an anchoring point for work-class ROVs. In the meantime, Flipper and Willy have undergone several design upgrades, including the optional Tactical Edition with black coating and the Dive Grip add-on for the Willy model.

We are proud suppliers to customers such as TechnipFMC, Subsea7, Norwegian Coastal Administration and the United States Department of Defense.
